The martial arts provide a stimulus for your mind as well as your body. Learning a martial art will promote memory ability and improve concentration. The In Ji Yong teaching method also develops a sense of awareness, which translates positively into many aspects of the student's life. Training in a martial art will make you more aware of negative situations, and how to respond to them. This could mean avoiding a physical confrontation, or simply how to interact with peers or co-workers. Dealing with the extreme stress of an attack and handling the gradual stressors of life are both aspects of training that will benefit the student. In Ji Yong provides students who have an interest in various subjects such as: philosophy, science, history, psychology, art, music, etc. the opportunity to discuss these in an open forum. Instructors will seek to relate martial arts to the student's particular passion. At advanced levels, the mental aspects that have been present throughout the program reveal themselves, bringing a deeper understanding to the student.
